Our new name and logo embodies our pledge to put youth at the forefront of the work with our partners in pursuit of our mission:
Invest in systemic change by collaborating with community, business, government and nonprofit partners to build better life outcomes for youth.

How Did We Get Here?

We took the original three squares of the VPP logo, and the arrow of the Raise DC logo — combining the power of three with the power of movement — to inspire our new brand identity.

Why Use Arcs?

In electricity, the definition of an arc is as follows:

“The band of sparks or incandescent light formed when an electric discharge is conducted from one electrode or conducting surface to another.”
Intentionally, the new logo has three colorful arcs that are symbolic of the light and energy that comes from action. Each arc aligns with one of the words in our tagline:

COLLABORATE. INNOVATE. TRANSFORM.

Our New Brand Identity Represents:

  • The “spark” that happens when we come together with community, business, government, and nonprofit partners to do the important work that needs to be done.
  • The “spark” that is ignited in the talent and potential of young people throughout our region.
  • The “spark” that is our vision:

An equitable Greater Washington, where all young people thrive.
